Vinegar Knickers are three sharp females; Samantha Baines, Katie Burnetts and Harriet Fisher. They're confident that their enthusiasm for underwear and acetic acid will see them through to the British Comedy Awards.

Vinegar Knickers are returning to Edinburgh for their third consecutive year after a run of sell out shows in London. Katie, Harriet and Sam have been causing a buzz with their refreshingly unpretentious approach to surreal sketch comedy, combining the self referential with a peppering of quintessential Jewish humour. Oy Vey.

Trust them as they take you by your clammy little mitt up chutzpur's wiggly path, and trip over their deviously dark and douchey characters. This year they're not holding back. They're singing, dancing and making pitch-black funnies. That's right, bring a set square cos’ this sh*t just got EDGY.

"Hillarious" and "very funny" you may recognise Samantha from un-named roles such as the 'Wallflower' on Channel 4 or from her un-named voice work as 'Northern Nurse' or 'Gossiping Woman' for the BBC. In her struggle to play someone with a real name she has performed tirelessly across stage and screen, put her stamp on the internet sitcom world with comedy cameos galore and performed thrice at the Edinburgh Fringe to five star reviews and even some critical acclaim. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and her greatest accolade to date was being termed "the sexiest alien killing robot machine at the Fringe" Groggy Squirrel 2008. Ohhh lets see what happens next year...

KATIE BURNETTS

Katie works as a journalist in London and vowed never to return to the Fringe having 'peaked too soon' as Annie the whore, in Famished (2007).

This summer marks the beginning of Katie's comeback tour entitled 'Condiments'. The irony being, of course, that Vinegar is her least favourite. Mainly because the smell reminds her of sweaty babies.

HARRIET FISHER

Harriet has had the dubious pleasure of playing various male roles in her career. The Ham and High said: 'Harriet Fisher is impressive as the boyfriend". She was then cast as Bob the Pixie in the glamorous world of panto. She looks forward to playing females this year. Despite being at the wrong end of many a ginger joke, Harriet is very excited to be back with Vinegar Knickers at the Fringe after last year's success in raucous show 'Your Mum’'.

JENNIFER MOON

Jennifer is the little but loud one of the group. She has been gurning and cavorting in the acting world since the tender age of 7, when much to her bemusement, she was cast as the granny in Little Red Riding Hood. A fascination with accents and the obscure has shaped her life long love of acting and comedy. She trained at East 15 Acting School where Vinegar Knickers was born. Jen lives on a healthy diet of Fleetwood Mac and Tony Slattery.
